BACK
Drinking at the last chance saloon the Claymores were playing this one for pride but they looked as if they were up for finishing their home schedule with a band as Goodman ripped off a 36 yard scamper in the opening drive, the drive stalled however and Tynes booted a 49 yard Field Goal to open the scoring. The defence was all over the Thunder QB and held but again the offence got in a good position and couldnt punch it in so Rob Hart doubled the score with a 21 yarder. Thunder got on the board with a 38 yard field goal then after the ensuing kick off was returned to midfield a comedy of errors came back to haunt the Claymores. Gilliam fumbled the ball in the end zone and after a return and a stupid late hit penalty by Dreisbach  the ball was spotted on the Claymores 30yard line, a pass interference penalty gave the Thunder first and goal and White rumbled in from two yards out to put Berlin in front.
Dreisbach drove the Claymores forward and Goodman collected a pitch and ran 36 yards for the go ahead touchdown. Thunder then missed a 4 point Field Goal as the crazy half came to an end.
Again the defence got great field position when Robert Arnaud blocked a punt and Cavil recovered a the Thunder 19 yard line , but again all we had to show for it was a 22yard Hart Field Goal.
Franz then picked off Huzak and he ran 33 yards untouched to put the Claymores in a seemingly unassailable position with a 23-10 lead.
But Berlin came right back with Looker hauling in a 9 yard pass to cut the deficit, then Dreisbach was intercepted and another stupid personal foul by the Claymores QB set up another first and goal for Thunder. This time White dove in from the1 yard line to unbelievebly put the  2001 World Bowl Winners in front , a lead which they wouldn give up.
And just to put the cap on a crazy day, Herbert Goodman who earlier had broken the  Claymores single game rushing yardage was stuffed behind the line of scrimmage and with it went his record.
Crazy day, crazy game......kinda sums up the Claymores season
