After the debacle last week in Frankfurt there was an early chance of revenge as the unbeaten Galaxy travelled to Murrayfield.
The Claymores defence made a strong statment forcing the Galaxy to punt but for the third week running, Dreisbach couldnt move the offence, the first quarter went back and forth with the only point of note being a short Galaxy field goal attempt which was blocked.
The Galaxy scored at the start of the second quarter as the Claymores loohed for a spark that would ignite the shabby offence that was in display. A Tynes 42 yard field goal was the only reward for a stuttering drive highlighted bt a 22 yard Dreisbach scramble.
Wit the offence really toiling it looked like it would take something special to jumpstart the Claymores and when Scott Shields picked off a Hamilton pass and returned it 48 yards for a superb touchdown in the third quarter, there was a better look on the game.
Again the offence struggled and with the Defense tiring after being on the field for long periods Frankfurt went in front for the secong and last time in the game when Hamilton threaded a pass between two defenders to cap another excellent drive.
A terrible, terrible performance which the players and the coaches let the Claymores fans down badly. I cannot for the life of me understand why the quarterback wasnt pulled when he was struggling and obviously injured. If this is the norm for the rest of the season then its hard to see when the next win is gonna come from.
